I am a bilingual native speaker of Polish and English available for translation and translocation services as well as content writing and proofreading in English.

My experience is versatile. I've worked on scientific papers, cookbooks, film scripts, product descriptions, short stories and even poetry. I particularly enjoy the creative challenges that come with translating nursery rhymes or puns.

My environment has always been both scientific and artistic. I was brought up by an English mother – who has also worked as a translator and proofreader (she taught me much of the craft) – and a Polish father, a professor of biology specialised in ethnobotany. After completing my secondary education in Poland, I went on to study English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Glasgow and was awarded a degree of the First Class. I completed a dissertation in Creative Writing.

I have worked as a self-employed freelance translator, proofreader and content writer ever since. Past projects have included, among others, the translation of The Tajik Melting Pot, winner of Gourment Awards 2023; proofreading of Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek's The Polish Table and film script and subtitle translation for the feature film Horse Tail. I have translated and translocated product descriptions for the Polish porcelain brand Révolte and written content for Językodajnia's online course English Mindfulness. My translations of Polish poetry have appeared in The Atlanta Review.

I form lasting cooperations with institutions, scientists

and writers, to whom I provide fast translation and proofreading services on a regular basis. The Botanical Garden of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Wrocław Medical University are among my regular clients.

Jestem w pełni dwujęzyczną tłumaczką między j. polskim a angielskim. Wykonuję także korekty językowe tekstów w j. angielskim.

Mam szerokie doświadczenie obejmujące zarówno prace naukowe jak i poezję, literaturę popularnonaukową, scenariusze filmowe, teksty stron internetowych czy opowiadania. Szczególnie cenię sobie kreatywne wyzwania, takie jak tłumaczenie rymowanek czy gier słownych.

Moje otoczenie zawsze łączyło w sobie naukę i sztukę. Wychowała mnie matka-angielka, która także posiada doświadczenie jako tłumaczka i korektor (sporo mnie nauczyła w tym zakresie) oraz ojciec-naukowiec, profesor biologii specjalizujący się w etnobotanice. Po ukończeniu szkoły średniej w Polsce studiowałam literaturę angielską i filozofię w University of Glasgow, gdzie otrzymałam dyplom z wyróżnieniem.

Od tego czasu prowadzę działalność jako tłumaczka i korektor tekstów.
